I hope you are enjoying our discussion of the Ascendant Signs. It is such a fun study, as it can tell you a lot about why you, and your partner, shine in the way that you do. Remember that your Ascendant is the position of the sign that your Sun was in on the day that you were born, and this is why you are asked for your birth time when you enter any information into a reading site or birth chart calculator. Because the Sun is rising in a different position at every moment of the day in every part of the world, everyone’s Rising sign will be different than their Sun sign. We’ve been exploring the Ascendant signs, and today we are going to look at another. Knowing your Rising sign or your Ascendant sign, or the rising sign of your partner can be very helpful in your romantic affairs. The Rising sign is the sign that the Sun was in on the day you were born, and offers a little more in depth insight than your Sun sign. Today we are at Cancer Rising, or the Cancer Ascendant. Have you ever read some information on your astrological sign, or received a report on your zodiac information and kind of gone, huh, that actually doesn’t sound like me at all? Maybe you even feel more like another sign, or are on the cusp of a sign and sort of lean a few different ways. That’s okay, we are all humans and individuals and as much as the zodiac can give us some clues and patterns, the factor of individual differences will come into play more than you think. At the same time, your Sun sign isn’t the be all end all of your personality. There are many other factors in play, with individual differences, from an astrological perspective. These many factors make up all of who you are, which is why some reports just won’t jive with you. One of those factors is the Ascendant sign, also known as your Rising sign. We’ve been discussing some of the transit periods on this blog, and today we will turn our attention to another transit period, the Neptune Return. So many people wonder why they might have a transit period guide from one astrologer or another that looks similar to another transit period guide, or information on a transit period. The reason for this is because we are often all in the same transit periods as each other, as our transit period guides will show us where the planets are at a certain time in our life. Well, the planets are in the same place for everyone today, and so they will be as well in your transit period guides. When a planet completes a transit, or starts a new one, it is called a transit period, and there are other minor transits that may happen with your individual chart. Some planets take longer to complete a full orbit, others not that long. Neptune takes 165 years to complete a full orbit, so you won’t see a full Neptune transit in your life time. But knowing what is happening when it completes an orbit, as it did in 2010, can be very helpful. We began discussing the harder aspects in a previous blog, opposites, conjunctions, and squares. Today we are going to cover the softer aspects. If you follow my Tumblr blog, then you may hear me discuss what the planets are doing on a particular day, and how this will affect your day to day lives in my daily astrological forecast. You can also catch these forecasts if you follow me on Pinterest as well. I might say something like Neptune and Jupiter are in a conjunction, or the Moon is forming a sweet trine with Saturn, or something of the like. Today I will explain the softer aspects of these terms so that you can see for yourself what it means when a planet forms a sextile or a trine with another planet. The aspects I previously discussed, squares, oppositions, and conjunctions, are the harder aspects. This means the changes that they create will be more difficult to manage. But, in the meantime, let me help you clarify some of these questions. There are terms in astrology that determine the location of the planets, and what they are doing at the time, and how they are relating to each other. Just like terms you use when relating with other people. When you “square off” with someone, it’s not often a good feeling. When your life is parallel with someone, it can seem kind of neat. The planets are no different. Today we are going to cover some of these terms, and we will manage the not so nice ones first, just to rip that bandaid off.
